Student Council members will serve the entire 2009-2010 school year. They must maintain good grades and demonstrate exemplary behavior.

We want to thank you for working so hard around our campus so far this year! Our Sno-Cone Sale was a huge success and we were so proud of how hard you all worked, with smiles on your faces!

We have three upcoming “big jobs” to accomplish in November. We are asking for PARENT HELP WITH THESE PROJECTS, TOO!

· We are planting new flowers in the tree wells around our campus this Tuesday, Nov. 3, right after school. Please bring any small shovels and gloves and plan to work hard from 2:15 to 3:00. Parents, please help!

· We all voted and decided that we wanted to support Nitalia and the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. We are selling T-shirts (red and black that say “Sequoya Walks on Nitalia’s Team) for $10. We are donating all profits. Pre-Orders are due this Wednesday (no money, just your size).

Our sale will be before school, during lunch, and after school on Nov. 16-20, so we will have a sign up soon. Parents, please help!

· All SC members will need to purchase a T-shirt and walk with us on Nov. 21. Registration is at 6 and the walk begins at 7, so please be there (PV Mall) by 6:30am. We will meet you all there. If you cannot walk, please let us know, as soon as possible. We understand that things happen.

· We will be hosting a “Sequoya Walks on Nitalia’s Team” Spirit Day on Wednesday, Nov. 18 – so everyone needs to wear your shirts on that day, as well as on the walk day!

· Lastly, during the Thanksgiving Luncheon, Nov. 19, we plan to sell Thanksgiving Cards and Holiday Cards, so we will need your help. Sale will be before school, during lunch, after school. Parents, please help!

· Next meeting, we will decide on benches or ? to donate in SC Name for Sequoya. Mrs. Gibney and Mrs. Miller

NEWS-We will be counting Spirit every Wednesday.
Student Council is collecting soda pop tabs to benefit Ronald McDonald Huse in Phoenix.
