New Members of the Sequoya Family

Karen Pescatore - P.A.C.T.

I am joining the wonderful Sequoya staff as the P.A.C.T. teacher. This is my fourteenth year in the district and I previously taught Gifted at Mountainside Middle School. I am so excited to meet and work with all of my students throughout the grade levels. When I am not at school, I am hiking and playing with my own family of three children.

Jamie McCrensky - Third Grade

I reside in McCormick Ranch, and have spent the last 4 years at Cocopah teaching 6th grade science and student council. I am ecstatic to be joining the Sequoya family.
I have a BA in fashion from Stephens College in Columbia, MO and my MAED from University of Phoenix. I look forward to working with each student and making this the best year as well as the most memorable. Feel free to reach me at jmccrensky@susd.org

Diane Naslund - LLC Speech-Language Pathologist

Hi,
My name is Diane Naslund. I will be working in the Language Learning Center (LLC) as the Speech-Language Pathologist. I look forward to being part of the Sequoya family in my 23rd year with the district!

Tia Danneman - English Immersion Specialist

I am the new EIS teacher.  I am part-time at Sequoya and part-time at Cherokee. I have been with the Scottsdale School District for over 15 years. In my free time I enjoy working in my cactus garden and hiking in beautiful Arizona. I look forward to working with each of my ESL students.

Jeff Metcalf - Fifth Grade

"I'm thrilled to be teaching fifth grade once again, and I'm looking forward to making a home at Sequoya.  I come from Aztec Elementary School, where I taught third grade last year. When I have the time, I like to scuba dive with my daughter, who is my dive buddy, and spend time learning new things."

Shari McConnell - ABC Teacher

I am the ABC teacher and am very pleased to be at Sequoya. I have lived in Ohio, Alaska, and Michigan and am now beginning my fourth year living in the Arizona desert. I have a BS from Mount Union College and earned an MS in education from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Go Blue!

Trudie Camponovo-Barrow - ABC Speech-Language Pathologist

My name is Trudie Camponovo-Barrow. The students call me "Mrs. CB". I am the Speech-Language Pathologist for the new ABC program at Sequoya. I have a BA from the State University of NY at Buffalo and my MA from George Washington University. I have been teaching for over twenty years both in Maryland and Scottsdale. I am married and have a daughter and son who are both in Medical school.

Lisa Hildreth - Psychology Intern

Hello, my name is Lisa Hildreth. I have a M.A. in Educational Psychology, and I am currently finishing up my PH.D. I will be the School Psychology Intern at Sequoya Elementary School this year. I have previously worked in the Schottsdale district at Hopi Elementary School and Sierra Vista Academy. I also worked at Sourthwest Neuropsychology Associates and Phoenix Childrens Hospital in the Neuropsychology department.
